When we get on our bicycles again in November 2004, every kilometre will be registred even more carefully than before. We ask all the visitors of our site to apply as sponsor for the kilometres cycled by us, or a fixed amount. The monies will be made over to War Child once a year, they will use it for several projects.

War Child Nederland is an independent, humanitarian organization that specializes in psycho-social care for children in warzones. They use creative means like music, drama, drawing and sports.

The care is aimed at teaching children skills to process their memories of war. This way children learn to play again in joint creative activities and get the chance to express their - often build up - emotions in a protected environment. The care also stimulates the personal growth and respect for each other. War Child's care is always given in the children's community. War Child Nederland weekly helps about 15.000 children in the Caucasus, the Balkans, Africa and South East Asia.

War Child Netherlands spends only 7,7% of the monies gathered on fundraising activities. This is far below the 25% margin the Centraal Bureau Fondsenwerving employs as maximum.
